CREEED\u2019s Educator Externship <\/span>provides<\/span> educators <\/span>a weeklong experience at local <\/span>businesses <\/span>to<\/span> enhance classroom education<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/h3>\n

Since 2023, the CREEED Educator Externship Program has partnered with regional businesses to provide current educators with a paid one-week summer externship. Educator externships offer a transformative professional development opportunity by bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace.  Educators become immersed in the daily operations of the partner businesses, gaining insights into current workforce trends and observing first-hand the 21st century skills students need for success in these fields. Educators then bring this knowledge back to their classrooms, enhancing teaching, building innovative curriculum and projects that connect students to real-world scenarios, and helping students develop skills that will help them both academically and later in their careers.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Externships last one week and will take place during the weeks of June 9<\/span>th<\/span>, June 16<\/span>th<\/span> and June 23<\/span>rd<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Businesses:<\/span><\/b> If your organization or business would like to be part of this innovative program that impacts both educators and students in the El Paso community, sign up <\/span>here<\/span><\/a> to host an extern <\/span>by Monday, March 17<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Educators: <\/span><\/b>If you are an educator who would like the opportunity to participate in an externship, please fill out this <\/span>application<\/span><\/a>. The application will open on April 1<\/span>st<\/span> and must be completed by<\/span> Monday, April 28<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>. <\/span><\/b>Educators who are selected to take part in CREEED’s Educator Externship will receive $750 for their time.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
