IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS "PAN CON CAFE" BRUNCH - 2020
On March 12, 2020 IDEA Public Schools celebrated their expansion taking place in El Paso. CREEED Executive Director Eddie Rodriguez represented CREEED at the event as he participated in a fireside chat with IDEA Public Schools CEO, Tom Torkelson. CREEED has been a proud contributor in bringing new IDEA campuses to the El Paso region and in helping provide existing campuses with funding needed to succeed.
YOUNG ACHIEVERS FORUM - UTEP 2020

On February 6th grades from the El Paso region took over UTEP's campus and participated in the annual Young Achievers Forum. The program gives middle schoolers a first-hand college campus experience and gives them the opportunity to explore various career paths in hopes of sparking their interest in pursuing a postsecondary education.

YOUNG ACHIEVERS FORUM - NMSU 2020

For the last four years, CREEED has supported the Young Achievers Forum at New Mexico State University. The annual program gives middle schoolers from southern New Mexico and their parents the opportunity to engage in college readiness pep rallies, informational lectures, and hands-on activities that promote post-secondary education and different career fields in STEM, business, and liberal arts.
IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY - 2020

In January IDEA Public Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony at their new Horizon campus- the 4th IDEA campus in El Paso. CREEED Board Chair, Richard Castro spoke at the event, emphasizing CREEED's continuous role in bringing IDEA schools to the borderland and providing a broader spectrum of education opportunities for families.
CLINT ISD & FABENS ISD DUAL CREDIT GRANT PRESENTATION - 2019

In February 2019, CREEED awarded a total of $42,000 to the Clint Independent School District and the Fabens Independent School District. The grant will be used to expand each districts’ dual credit programs and improve their student educational attainment by focusing on accelerated teacher development and increasing the number of students enrolled in dual credit courses throughout each school district.
STTE EDUCATION FOUNDATION AWARDS - 2019

On November 14, educators who have excelled at supporting young students to pursue careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) fields were recognized by the Success Through Technology Education Foundation (STTE) who promotes the innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity of educators in preparing students for their futures. CREEED is a proud sponsor of STTE.
EPISD ACT GRANT PRESENTATION - 2019
In November of last year, CREEED presented the El Paso Independent School District and Superintendent Juan Cabrera with $100,000 to support 50 teachers interested in teaching dual-credit courses. CREEED's Accelerated Certification of Teachers (ACT) scholarships will help teachers complete their master degrees and prepare for conducting dual-credit courses. ACT El Paso is a CREEED-sponsored initiative that combines teacher development with helping students attain more college credit while in high school, and ultimately go on to receive a postsecondary education.
MINER TEACHER RESIDENCY PROGRAM PRESENTATION - 2019
In September of 2019 CREEED's Choose to Excel Director, Amy O'Rourke, spoke at the launching of UTEP's Miner Teacher Residency Program. The program is a paid internship initiative that will give teachers the chance to spend an entire year in a real classroom, co-teaching with a mentor and engaged in a coaching model designed by UTEP College of Education members. CREEED's support of the initiative helps to improve education attainment and the preparation of region's students and teachers.

CANUTILLO ISD COLLEGE READINESS GRANT PRESENTATION - 2019
At the October 22, 2019, Canutillo ISD Board Meeting, CREEED presented the leadership of Canutillo Independent School District and Principal of Canutillo Middle School with a check for $75,000 to support a significant expansion of its middle school mathematics college readiness program. This donation helped increase the number of students who can take algebra while still in middle school.
ACT SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATIONS, SOCORRO & CANUTILLO ISD -2019

On August 12, 2019 at El Dorado High School, CREEED awarded $150,000 to support 75 teachers from the Socorro and Canutillo Independent School District's, giving teachers the opportunity to complete requirements for dual credit instruction. The scholarship aids teachers in becoming dual-credit certified and ultimately enhancing high school education attainment in the region.
HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON - 2019

In May of 2019 four graduating seniors from the El Paso area were presented the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship to assist them in attaining their post-secondary education goals. Among those awarded were Sergio Andres Baez and Carmen Salas from the EPSID, in addition to Alexandra Fernandez and Mildred Muro from YISD. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship is one of many scholarships that CREEED sponsors.
SYLVIA HOPP SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION - 2019

In June of 2019, CREEED awarded a $2,500 scholarship to San Elizario High School graduating senior, Maria Cano, to aid her in her postsecondary educational endeavors at UTEP. Every year CREEED presents an SEISD student the Sylvia Hopp Scholarship Award to aid them in alleviating their financial burdens as they attend college.
SOUTHWEST DRONE CHALLENGE - 2019

In April 2019 CREEED proudly sponsored the Montwood High School robotics team as they competed in the 2019 Southwest Drone Challenge. CREEED Executive Director, Eddie Rodriguez, awarded a total of $750 to Montwood High School, who placed 2nd in the competition, to help continue its goal in preparing students for careers in science and mathematics.
EL PASO COLLABORATIVE - 2019

Community interaction is at the core of what CREEED is all about. In April of 2019, CREEED representatives attended the monthly El Paso Collaborative meeting where local school districts and organizations come together to produce a collective impact model for improving educational attainment in El Paso. This impact model and the conversations held within the collaborative enable CREEED to develop ideas and expand areas of education opportunity in the region.
