ENGAGE YOUR ISD SUPERINTENDENT

Superintendents are the top executive in the school district, akin to a CEO. They are selected by the Board of Trustees and are responsible for managing the schools, administering school board policies, and making financial and human resource allocations for the district. They are directly accountable to the school board.

Superintendents are responsible for developing and implementing all school programs within their districts and improving the educational outcomes of students. They work with school leaders -- principals and vice-principals -- to serve the needs of students and meet the district goals. They must also be responsive to the needs and demands of diverse constituencies in the district: teachers, students, parents, staff, advocates, and the community at large. A great superintendent will be guided by what is best for all students and will prioritize increased educational attainment for all students.

We encourage you to engage with your superintendent. Understand their goals for the district and what they are doing to make sure all children in the district are meeting grade level expectations.

You can contact your superintendent using the information below.
